This is for the family. It’s how we spend Canada Day every year up in cottage country. We build a float, drive it down the street to the delight of anywhere from 5 to 12 locals, then head back to the house for a Canada Day dinner and fireworks bonanza.
Everything was shot on the Canon 5d, various lenses, and various exposure settings. Some well shot, some not so well.
This is just Canada Day… the float, the one float parade, a dance party and finally fireworks.

These are shots from Erie Beach (or Waverly as its known now) in Fort Erie. The place used to be known as “Buffalo’s $2 million playground.” It had a dance hall, open air theatre, the “world’s largest outdoor public swimming pool”, and other attractions all along the Lake Erie shore directly across from Buffalo, NY.
